TERMS AND CONDITIONS

ONE TO ONE CONSULTATIONS

We aim to provide the highest standard of nutritional support and guidance. We rely on you as an individual to provide accurate and up to-date information about your current health and medical history. Failure to do so could result in inappropriate nutritional advice giving. We ask that your pre-consultation questionnaire is completed accurately. We request that this information should be sent over to us at least 48 hours before your consultation. This ensures we are prepared for your appointment and can give the best possible nutrition care plan.

If you purchase a three-part package we will agree in the initial appointment when the other two appointments will take place. Depending on your individual needs a suitable review time will be agreed, for example someone living with type 2 diabetes, looking to improve HbA1c, one appointment per month for a three-month period would be recommended. For someone living with gestational diabetes one appointment a week for a three-week period would be recommended. A maximum of three months will be set for all three-part packages. After the three calendar months has passed the package will expiry and no refund will be given. If you need to reschedule an appointment, please contact us directly and as soon as possible by sending us a message below.

All three-part packages are entitled to email support between agreed appointments. We aim to respond within two working days to any email queries. During periods of annual leave, it may take longer to response to email queries.

Appointments are predominately online via a live video link or can be via telephone call if preferred. A video link will be sent ahead of the scheduled appointment time. If a telephone call has been requested, we will call you at the agreed time.

CANCELLATION

Should you need to cancel a full refund will be provided up to 48 hours before the consultation booking time. If a cancellation is made within 48 hours of the appointment, no refund will be given. If you miss an appointment, you will not be refunded. If you have purchased a three-part package and decide after the first or second appointment you do not wish to continue no refund will be given.

Should you need to rearrange your appointment please contact directly to discuss as soon as possible. We endeavour to be as flexible as possible with rebooking your appointment, however short notice of cancellation may mean it is difficult to book you back in quickly.

Should you be running late for your appointment please contact via email as soon as you can, if you are more than 15 minutes late the appointment will need to be rearranged.

PAYMENT

Full payment is taken at the time of booking. This includes single and package appointments. An invoice will be emailed to you upon scheduling an appointment. Payment will be taken via BACS payment (preferred) or a payment link using the system Stripe (a 3.25% handling fee will be added).

An appointment is not confirmed until full payment has been received, along with consent and pre consultation questionnaire. The appointment will not go ahead without agreed (signed) consent.

PERSONAL

As outlined in the privacy policy, all information will be stored securely. The information is confidential, we will only communicate to your GP with your consent. Information would only be shared without consent to your GP or other health professionals if it was felt your safety was at risk.

As an experienced chef Carolyn may post about a recipe which feels restaurant standard and less health based driven. Carolyn always strives to create delicious and nutritious recipes and applies recipe adaptation where possible to improve the health quality and nutrition of the dish. For example, we may recommend 50% less fat crème fraiche in our dish to reduce saturated fat content, however fat content may still be high. It’s the intention some dishes may not be ‘everyday foods/meals’ however can be included in a healthier way within a balanced diet.

GESTATIONAL DIABETES AND DIABETES IN PREGNANCY

At Spooner Nutrition we want to provide you with the best possible dietary advice to help manage your blood glucose levels to ensure a healthy pregnancy. In some cases, dietary advice, despite the best efforts made by the client will not result in target blood glucose levels. It is not uncommon for some women to need medication prescribed by a doctor to aid their blood glucose level.

If you are also under the care of an NHS dietitian, it is possible dietary advice can vary. If you are acting upon dietary advice from multiple sources this may affect your level of control. We are unable to take responsibility and you do so at your own risk.
